AN ACT RELATING TO LICENSING

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:

SECTION 1. Sections 20-2-15, 20-2-16, and 20-2-18 of the General Laws in Chapter 20-2 entitled "Licensing" are hereby amended to read as follows:

20-2-15. Fresh water fishing license. -- (a) {ADD Resident ADD} : nine dollars and fifty cents ($9.50).

(b) {ADD Nonresident ADD} : twenty dollars and fifty cents ($20.50). {ADD thirty-one dollars ($31.00). ADD}

(c) Nonresident tourist: ten dollars and fifty cents ($10.50). {ADD sixteen dollars ($16.00). ADD} Such license shall entitle the licensee to fish in Rhode Island for three (3) consecutive days including day of issue.

Fresh water fishing licenses shall expire on the last day of February of each year.

20-2-16. Hunting license. -- (a) Resident: nine dollars and fifty cents ($9.50)

(b) Nonresident: twenty dollars and fifty cents ($20.50). {ADD forty-one dollars ($41.00). ADD}

(c) Nonresident landowner: A nonresident citizen of the United States and owner of real estate in Rhode Island assessed for taxation at a valuation of not less than thirty thousand dollars ($30,000.) may obtain a resident's hunting license.

(d) Shooting preserve: three dollars and fifty cents ($3.50).

(e) Nonresident three (3) day: ten dollars and fifty cents ($10.50). {ADD sixteen dollars ($16.00). ADD} Such license shall entitle the licensee to hunt in Rhode Island for three (3) consecutive days as validated by the issuing agent.

Hunting licenses shall expire on the last day of February of each year.

20-2-18. Deer permits. -- (a) {ADD Resident ADD} : seven dollars and fifty cents($7.50).

(b) {ADD Non-resident ADD} : twenty dollars ($20). {ADD twenty-five dollars and fifty cents ($25.50). ADD}

A deer permit shall be good only for the season in which it is issued.

SECTION 2. Section 20-4-1.2 of the General Laws in Chapter 20-4 entitled "Commercial Fisheries" is hereby amended to read as follows:

20-4-1.2. Non-resident commercial landing permit. -- {ADD Resident or non-resident commercial landing permit. -- ADD} Each {ADD resident or ADD} non-resident may obtain a license to sell seafood products legally harvested outside Rhode Island waters upon payment of the following fees:

(A) {ADD Resident or ADD} Non-resident finfish landing license --

for the sale of finfish caught by any means, two hundred dollars ($200).

(B) {ADD Resident or ADD} Non-resident shellfish landing license -- (includes process product), two hundred dollars ($200). This license allows the holder to land shellfish (surf clams, blue mussels, ocean quahaugs, sea scallops "placopecten magellanicus") legally harvested in federal water.

(C) {ADD Resident or ADD} Non-resident miscellaneous landing license -- includes all other seafood products not specified under any other provision of this chapter, two hundred dollars ($200).

(D) Multi-purpose {ADD resident or ADD} non-resident landing license. -- This license allows a {ADD resident or ADD} non-resident to land and sell all marine products in the state of Rhode Island, three hundred dollars ($300).

SECTION 3. This act shall take effect upon passage.
