It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:
SECTION 1. The town of Narragansett is hereby authorized to combine voting districts and to open two (2) polling places -- one in Representative District 47 and one in Representative District 48, specifically, for the purpose of conducting a special election on September 14, 1999 to fill the one (1) vacancy which presently exists on the Narragansett town council.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage.
