It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:
SECTION 1. Chapter 31-22 of the General Laws entitled "Miscellaneous Rules" is hereby amended by adding thereto the following section:
{ADD 31-22-14.1. Towing -- Accident scene. -- ADD} {ADD Every
licensed wrecker who shall render towing services at the scene
of an accident shall also have the responsibility to remove all
glass and debrisADD} {DEL from the accident scene DEL}{ADD at the accident scene from the roadway at the time of rendering the services.ADD} {ADDA police officer shall remain on the scene of the accident until the licensed wrecker has cleared the roadway from auto debris in accordance with this section.ADD}
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage.
