It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:
SECTION 1. Chapter 2-14 of the General Laws entitled "Tree Wardens" is hereby amended by adding thereto the following section:
{ADD 2-14-12. Application to West Greenwich. -- ADD} {ADD The provisions of this chapter shall not apply to the tree warden of the town of West Greenwich who was appointed prior to July 1, 1986 and has served continuously as the tree warden since that date. ADD}
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage.
