It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 3-11-5 of the General Laws in Chapter 3-11 entitled "Penalties and Liabilities" is hereby amended to read as follows:
3-11-5. Penalties for violations. -- Except as otherwise
expressly provided, any person violating any of the provisions
of this title, shall {DEL for the first offense DEL} be
subject to a fine not in excess of {DEL two hundred dollars
($200) or be imprisoned for a period not exceeding three (3) months;
for the second offense to a fine not in excess of three hundred
dollars ($300) or be imprisoned for a period not exceeding six
(6) months; and for the third and each subsequent offense to a
fine not in excess of five hundred dollars ($500) or imprisonment
for a period not exceeding one year, or both. DEL} {ADD one

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage.
