It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:
SECTION 1. Chapter 44-3 of the General Laws entitled "Property Subject to Taxation" is hereby amended by adding thereto the following section:
{ADD 44-3-48. Certain tax exemptions in the town of Burrillville. -- ADD} {ADD (a) Each exemption granted on property in the town of Burrillville by any of the provisions of this chapter shall be at a rate to be established per one thousand dollars of valuations for each exemption granted to a taxpayer. ADD}
{ADD (b) The town council of the town of Burrillville shall annually establish the tax rate for exemptions at the same time it establishes a tax rate for all ratable property. ADD}
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage.
