It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:

SECTION 1. The town of Tiverton shall be allowed to accept Plan C of section 45-21-52 for members of R.I. Council 94, AFSCME, AFL-CIO Local 2670A, Tiverton town employees, in order that employees who retire after January 1, 1995 shall receive a cost of living adjustment annually, commencing on the first day of January next following the date of retirement.

This act shall be given retroactive effect to include employees employed as of January 1, 1995.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage.
