It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:

SECTION 1. Disproportionate share hospital funds for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1993. -- {ADD (a) For the purpose of providing a state appropriation to match medicaid, pursuant to Title XIX of the Federal Social Security Act for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1993, there is hereby appropriated the following sum: ADD} {ADD Department of Human Services ADD} {ADD Medical Benefits ADD} {ADD $62,183,038 ADD}

{ADD (b) In the event that a portion or all of the foregoing sum is paid to state hospitals, for the purpose of avoiding offsetting entries of revenues and expenditures, the state controller is hereby authorized to treat such portion(s) in a manner which would avoid an inaccurate presentation of state expenditures. ADD}

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage.
