It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:

SECTION 1. Section 5-2-13 of the General Laws in Chapter 5-2 entitled "Bowling Alleys, Billiards Tables and Shooting Galleries" is hereby amended to read as follows:

{ADD 5-2-13. Permitting use of tables by minors. -- ADD} {ADD (a) ADD} No person licensed by virtue of this chapter shall permit any table, the use of which has been permitted under a license granted to him, to be used by any minor under the age of eighteen (18) years {ADD except as provided herein ADD} ; and in case of such use being permitted, the person holding the license shall thereupon forfeit the license, and shall be liable to the penalty imposed by section 5-2-12.

{ADD (b) A city or town, by ordinance may authorize any facility operated by a licensed person in which alcoholic beverages are not served, to allow a minor sixteen (16) years of age or older to use any table. ADD}

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage.
