It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:

SECTION 1. Chapter 22-7.4 of the general laws entitled "PERMANENT JOINT COMMITTEE ON NAMING ALL NEW BUILDINGS, BRIDGES, EDIFICES AND OTHER STATE CONSTRUCTIONS" is hereby amended by adding the following section:

{ADD 22-7.4-38. The Professor Emeritus Foster H. Middleton Building. -- ADD} {ADD The building on the Narragansett Bay Campus of the University of Rhode Island, currently known as the OE-1 (South Laboratory Building), shall be named the Professor Emeritus Foster H. Middleton Building. ADD}

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage.
