J O I N T   R E S O L U T I O N

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PAY CERTAIN CLAIMS

RESOLVED, That there is hereby appropriated out of any money in the treasury not

otherwise appropriated for the fiscal year 2018-2019 the sums stipulated to pay the claims of the

following:

Representative Thomas Winfield

The sum of $1,050.83 to pay the claim of Robert Goralski of 8 Pineridge Drive,

Smithfield, Rhode Island, 02917, for damages to his vehicle when he struck a roadway defect

while traveling west on Route 44 on or about January 12, 2018, in the town of Greenville.

Representative Kathleen A. Fogarty

The sum of $991.71 to pay the claim of Jason Gruczka of 197 Glen Rock Road, West

Kingston, Rhode Island, 02892, for damages to his personal property while in the care of the

Rhode Island State Police on or about October 16, 2017 in the town of Wickford.

Representative Stephen R. Ucci

The sum of $250.00 to pay the claim of Stephen Mallane of 1218 Atwood Ave, Johnston,

Rhode Island, 02919 for damage to the sewer line at his property located at 1220 Atwood Ave,

Johnston, Rhode Island, 02919 as the result of a tree maintained by the Department of

Transportation in the town of Johnston on or about August 30, 2016.

Representative Nicholas A. Mattiello

The sum of $536.71 to pay the claim of David Rathbun of 48 Long Court, Cranston,

Rhode Island, 02920, for damages to his vehicle, when it struck a roadway defect while traveling

north on Pontiac Avenue at or near Kenney Drive on or about March 2, 2018 in the City of

Cranston.

Representative Julie A. Casmiro

The sum of $500.00 to pay the claim of Thomas Stangster of 40 Gosnold Road, North

Kingstown, Rhode Island, 02852, for damages to his vehicle when it struck roadway debris while

traveling on Route 295 North at or near exit 3 in the city of Cranston on or about January 25,

2017; and the state controller is hereby authorized and directed to draw his orders upon the

general treasurer for the said funds.
