J O I N T   R E S O L U T I O N

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PAY CERTAIN CLAIMS

RESOLVED, That there is hereby appropriated out of any money in the treasury not

otherwise appropriated for the fiscal year 2016-2017 the sums stipulated to pay the claims of the

following:

Representative Jared R. Nunes

The sum of $396.00 to pay the claim of Thomas E. Noret of 225 Fairview Ave of

Coventry, Rhode Island 02816 for damages to his vehicle when it was struck by roadway debris

while traveling on the Route 37 connector on or about April 4, 2016.

Representative Daniel P. McKiernan

The sum of $250.00 to pay the claim of Hector Rivera of 12 Elmcroft Avenue,

Providence, Rhode Island 02908 for damages to his vehicle as the result of the Department of

Labor and Training facilities staff inadvertently getting paint on his vehicle while spray painting

wooden snow sticks at or near 1511 Pontiac Avenue in the City of Cranston, on or about

November 21, 2014.

Representative Nicholas A. Mattiello

The sum of $2,234.97 to pay the claim of Sheri Della Grotta of 19 Wilshire Lane,

Cranston, Rhode Island 02920 for damages to her vehicle as the result of roadway debris while

traveling south on Route 95 at or near Route 37 in the City of Cranston on or about August 17,

2015.

Representative Daniel Patrick Reilly

The sum of $690.15 to pay the claim of Robert T. Lehane Jr. of 154 Cottontail Drive,

Portsmouth, Rhode Island 02871 for damages to his vehicle when it struck a roadway defect

while traveling North on Route 138 in the area of Quaker Hill in the Town of Portsmouth on or

about March 6, 2015.

Representative Robert B. Jacquard

The sum of $187.90 to pay the claim of Karen L. Fuzek of 127 Ausdale Road of

Cranston, Rhode Island 02920 for damages to her vehicle when she struck a roadway defect while

traveling south on Route 295 at or near the 95 South Junction on or about November 3, 2015.

Representative Nicholas A. Mattiello

The sum of $2,018.29 to pay the claim of Eugene J. Hassel of 3 Western Hills Lane, Apt

1501, Cranston, Rhode Island 02920 for damages to his vehicle when it struck a roadway defect

while traveling south on Route 95 at or near Route 37 in the City of Cranston on or about August

5, 2015; and the state controller is hereby authorized and directed to draw his orders upon the

general treasurer for the said funds.
