J O I N T   R E S O L U T I O N

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PAY CERTAIN CLAIMS

                   RESOLVED, That there is hereby appropriated out of any money in the treasury not

              otherwise appropriated for the fiscal year 2014-2015 the sums stipulated to pay the claims of the

              following:

                    Senator Maryellen Goodwin

                   The sum of $153.91 to pay the claim of Ashley Fioravanti of 173 Rankin Avenue,

              Providence, Rhode Island, 02909, for damages to her vehicle when she struck a roadway defect

              traveling south on Route 95 at or near exit 22 in the City of Providence on or about March 6,

              2014;

                    Senator Louis P. DiPalma

                   The sum of $303.00 to pay the claim of Shannon Edwards of 969 West Main Road,

              Apartment 3604, Middletown, Rhode Island, 02842, for damages to her vehicle when it struck a

              roadway defect while travelling on West Main Road in the Town of Middletown at or near the

              Mobil Extra Mart on or about July 5, 2013;

                    Senator Hanna M. Gallo

                   The sum of $238.70 to pay the claim of Paula J. Gemma of 76 Columbus Boulevard,

              Cranston, Rhode Island, 02910, for damages to her vehicle when it struck a roadway defect while

              travelling on Route 44 in the City of Providence on or about December 31, 2013;

                    Senator James C. Sheehan

                   The sum of $664.44 to pay the claim of Gail A. Fitzgerald of 183 Annaquatucket Road,

              North Kingstown, Rhode Island, 02852, for damages to her vehicle when it was struck by

              roadway debris while traveling North on Route 1 in the Town of North Kingstown on or about

              June 4, 2013;

                    Senator Ryan W. Pearson

                   The sum of $1,647.87 to pay the claim of Audrey Battista of 500 Mendon Road, Unit

              221, Cumberland, Rhode Island, 02864, for damages to her vehicle when it struck a roadway

              defect while traveling north on Route 295 at or near the 95/295 split in the City of Warwick on or

              about March 15, 2014;

                    Senator Frank A. Ciccone, III

                   The sum of $3,520.20 to pay the claim of Elizabeth Iafrate of 264 Woonasquatucket

              Avenue, North Providence, Rhode Island, 02911, for damages to her property at 264

              Woonasquatucket Avenue in the Town of North Providence as the result of improper clearing of

              Department of Administration storm drains;

                    Senator Leonidas P. Raptakis

                   The sum of $3,403.45 to pay the claim of Richard S. Eccleston, Jr., of 22 Pettine Street,

              Coventry, Rhode Island, 02816, for damages to his vehicle while it was parked at the Howard

              Complex, building #62, as the result of State of Rhode Island Adult Correctional Institution

              inmates landscaping on or about September 20, 2013;

                    Senator Adam J. Satchell

                   The sum of $429.69 to pay the claim of Michael R. Garrahan of 38 Fawn Lane, West

              Warwick, Rhode Island, 02893, for damages to his vehicle when it struck a roadway defect while

              traveling south on Route 2 at or near 1000 Division Road in the Town of East Greenwich on or

              about February 28, 2014;

                    Senator Leonidas P. Raptakis

                   The sum of $181.30 to pay the claim of Robert Verrier of 753 Noosneck Hill Road, West

              Greenwich, Rhode Island, 02917, for damages to his vehicle as the result of improperly secured

              gravel inside a State of Rhode Island vehicle operated by a Department of Environmental

              Management, Parks and Recreation employee; and the state controller is hereby authorized and

              directed to draw his orders upon the General Treasurer for the payment of said funds;

              Senator Joshua Miller

                   The sum of $226.84 to pay the claim of Elizabeth Bullard of 36 Prospect Street,

              Cranston, Rhode Island, 02910, for damages to her vehicle when it struck a roadway defect while

              traveling on Route 10 at or near Westminster Street in the city of Providence on or about March

              21, 2014;

              Senator Frank Lombardo III

                   The sum of $143.50 to pay the claim of Samuel Alba of 39 N. Loxley Drive, Johnston,

              Rhode Island, 02919, for damages to his vehicle when it struck a roadway defect while traveling

              south on the Route 6-10 connector in the city of Cranston on or about April 14, 2014;

              Senator V. Susan Sosnowski

                   The sum of $575.00 to pay the claim of Clifford King of 118 Richmond Townhouse

              Road, Carolina, Rhode Island, 02812, for damages to his vehicle when it struck a roadway defect

              while traveling West on Route 138 in Chariho on or about September 14, 2013.
