J O I N T   R E S O L U T I O N

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PAY CERTAIN CLAIMS

                   RESOLVED, That there is hereby appropriated out of any money in the treasury not

              otherwise appropriated for the fiscal year 2014-2015 the sums stipulated to pay the claims of the

              following:

                    Representative Raymond E. Gallison

                   The sum of $276.97 to pay the claim of Matthew H. White of 10 Weetamoe Farm Drive,

              Bristol, Rhode Island, 02809, for damages to his vehicle due to inappropriately installed curbing

              by contractors completing work for the Rhode Island Department of Transportation at or near

              Route 114 in the area of State Street on or about July 15, 2013;

                    Speaker Nicholas A. Mattiello

                   The sum of $275.00 to pay the claim of Thomas P. Morgan of 9 Century Lane, Cranston,

              Rhode Island, 02921, for damages to his vehicle when it struck a roadway defect travelling west

              on Route 37 in the area of Route 295 in the City of Cranston on or about June 15, 2013;

                    Representative Teresa Tanzi

                   The sum of $318.20 to pay the claim of Jack Pomeranz of 209 Bellevue Court,

              Narragansett, Rhode Island, 02882, for damages to his vehicle when it struck a roadway defect

              while traveling west on Route 37 in the area of Route 295 in the City of Cranston on or about

              January 14, 2014;

                    Representative Scott J. Guthrie

                   The sum of $2,227.00 to pay the claim of William Berg of 16 Cobblestone Terrace,

              Coventry, Rhode Island, 02816, for damages to his vehicle as a result of Rhode Island

              Department of Corrections employees improperly installing signage at or near the intake center of

              the Adult Corrections facility parking lot on or about March 26, 2014;

                    Representative Joseph M. McNamara

                   The sum of $170.00 to pay the claim of James M. Donelan of 623 Post Road, Warwick,

              Rhode Island, 02888, for damages to his property at 623 Post Road in the City of Warwick as a

              result of a State of Rhode Island Department of Transportation snow plow on or about November

              6, 2013;

                    Representative Robert J. Jacquard

                   The sum of $170.20 to pay the claim of Hilary Greaves of 165 Holland Street #3,

              Cranston, Rhode Island, 02920, for damages to her vehicle when it struck a roadway defect while

              she was traveling on Route 14 at or near Viola and Dewey Streets on or about February 20, 2014;

                    Representative Gregory J. Constantino

                   The sum of $755.72 to pay the claim of Benjamin M. Scungio of 37 Clark Road,

              Smithfield, Rhode Island, 02917, for damages to his vehicle when it struck a roadway defect

              Route 44 in the area of pole 1152 in the Town of Smithfield on or about March 18, 2014;

                    Representative Eileen S. Naughton

                   The sum of $134.81 to pay the claim of Stacy A. Turcotte of 122 Polk Road, Warwick,

              Rhode Island, 02889, for damages to her vehicle when it struck a roadway defect while traveling

              on Route 117 in the City of Warwick on or about March 31, 2014;

                    Representative Robert B. Jacquard

                   The sum of $230.58 to pay the claim of Joseph Lennon of 15 North View Avenue,

              Cranston, Rhode Island, 02920, for damages to his vehicle when it struck a roadway defect while

              traveling south on Route 2 in the City of Warwick on or about January 13, 2014;

                    Representative Stephen R. Ucci

                   The sum of $318.07 to pay the claim of John Longiaru of 64 Bishop Hill Road, Johnston,

              Rhode Island, 02919, for damages to his vehicle when it was struck by roadway debris while

              traveling north on Route 295 at or near the Providence Street bridge on or about November 30,

              2010;

                    Representative Arthur J. Corvese

                   The sum of $4,676.10 to pay the claim of Stephen K. Loiselle of 4 Tara Drive, North

              Providence, Rhode Island, 02904, for damages to his vehicle when he struck a roadway defect

              while traveling on the off ramp of Route 295 North at exit 6C on or about March 20, 2014; and

              the state controller is hereby authorized and directed to draw his orders upon the General

              Treasurer for the payment of said funds.
