O L U T I O N
CELEBRATING THE
100TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE FOUNDING OF THE TOWN OF

WHEREAS,
the youngest town in
WHEREAS, As with many of
of successful mills, mostly located on the
good employment opportunities for the community that
developed nearby; and
WHEREAS,
brought with it the influx of many diverse cultures and
citizens of different nationalities, resulting
in the formation of many villages which still exist
today, including Arctic,
Riverpoint,
WHEREAS, While the
town's mills slowly closed over the succeeding years, today, those
beautiful castle-like structures are finding new uses and
revitalized purposes, and families and
neighbors from the multi-cultural villages of
town friendly atmosphere; and
WHEREAS,
geographic and natural resources upon which to build. Today, the
town is the 10th largest out of
thirty-nine cities and towns in
the 21st century looks to be full of promise and
prosperity; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED,
That this House of Representatives of the State of
Providence Plantations
hereby commemorates the occasion of the 100th Anniversary of the
founding of the Town of
RESOLVED,
That this House hereby extends our gratitude and best
wishes to those who
live in and serve the Town of
RESOLVED,
That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized
and directed to
transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to David Gosselin, Jr., President of the West
