J O I N T R E S O L U T I O N

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PAY CERTAIN CLAIMS

     RESOLVED, That there is hereby appropriated out of any money in the treasury not

otherwise appropriated for the fiscal year 2012-2013 the sums stipulated to pay the claims of the

following:

     Representative Agostinho F. Silva

     The sum of $600.00 to pay the claim of Joao Raposo of 47 Clifton Street, Central Falls,

Rhode Island, 02863 for damages to his vehicle as a result of a Department of Corrections

landscaping crew at or near 82 Smith Street in the City of Providence on or about August 12,

2011;

     Representative Arthur Handy

     The sum of $1,500.00 to pay the claim of Christopher T. Sweet of 249 Magnolia Street,

Cranston, Rhode Island, 02910 for damages to his vehicle as the result of a downed Department

of Environmental Management tree at or near the intersection of Highland Street and Lakeview

Drive in the City of Cranston on or about August 25, 2011;

     Representative Jared R. Nunes

     The sum of $1,323.78 to pay the claim of Jennifer Lyons of 107 Gough Ave, West

Warwick, Rhode Island, 02893 for damages to her vehicle as the result of a Department of

Transportation vehicle performing snow removal work in the City of Warwick at or near

Greenwich Avenue on or about January 18, 2011;

     Representative Nicholas Mattiello

     The sum of $177.00 to pay the claim of Lucille St. Pierre of 21 Hope Hill Terrace,

Cranston, Rhode Island, 02921 as the result of Department of Environmental Management

incorrectly towing her car at or near the Block Island Ferry parking lot in the Town of

Narragansett on or about August 13, 2011;

     Representative Arthur J. Corvese

     The sum of $4,856.34 to pay the claim of Anthony Fiocco of 68 Pearl Avenue, North

Providence, Rhode Island, 02904 as the result of roadway debris at or near 295 South, North of

Exit 5, in the Town of Johnston on or about October 7, 2011;

     Representative Peter J. Petrarca

     The sum of $334.78 to pay the claim of Charles Short of 20 Sturbridge Avenue,

Greenville, Rhode Island, 02828 for damages to his vehicle as the result of a roadway defect at or

near 27 Smith Avenue (Route 116) in the Town of Smithfield on or about February 25, 2011;

     Representative Raymond E. Gallison, Jr.

     The sum of $194.69 to pay the claim of Lori Motta of 25 Cedar Drive, Bristol, Rhode

Island, 02809 as the result of damages to her vehicle while performing her work for the

Department of Health at or near 1 Capitol Hill in the City of Providence on or about June 27,

2011;

     Representative Jan P. Malik

     The sum of $331.32 to pay the claim of Dane C. Coleman of 6 Katie Drive, Warren,

Rhode Island, 02885 for damages to his vehicle when it struck roadway debris at or near

Schoolhouse Road and Long Lane in the Town of Warren on or about September 8, 2011; and the

state controller is hereby authorized and directed to draw upon the general treasurer for the said

sums.
