RESPECTFULLY
URGING THE UNITED STATES CONGRESS TO REINTRODUCE AND SUPPORT LEGISLATION
DESIGNATING THE HONOR AND REMEMBER FLAG AS AN OFFICIAL SYMBOL TO RECOGNIZE AND
HONOR MEMBERS OF THE ARMED FORCES WHO HAVE DIED IN THE LINE OF DUTY

WHEREAS, Throughout
American history our nation has been propitiously blessed with
so many of her citizenry willing to serve their country
at moments of great peril. These brave
men and women have often risked all and sacrificed so
very much in order to protect our precious
rights and independence; and
WHEREAS, The heroism of
glorious. Men and women from all walks of life, who set
aside their day to day lives and put their
dreams and hopes on hold, to answer the call to duty with a
courage and determination of purpose
that has brought honor and distinction not only to
themselves, but to an entire world; and
WHEREAS, Let us pay homage to and never forget the sacrifices
made by generations
of men and women in the armed forces, whose noble
sacrifices have enabled us to stand here
today enjoying the freedoms and liberties we hold so dear
in our hearts; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED,
That this House of Representatives of the State of
and Providence Plantations hereby urges the United
States Congress to reintroduce and support
passage of a bill to amend title 39 of the United States Code
to designate the Honor and
Remember Flag as an
official symbol to recognize and honor members of the Armed Forces who
have died in the line of duty; and be it further
RESOLVED,
That the Secretary of State be and he hereby is
authorized and directed to
transmit duly certified copies of this resolution to the
members of
Delegation.
