HONORING RAYMOND
J. SULLIVAN, JR., FOR HIS SERVICE TO THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF

WHEREAS, The
with the departure of Representative Raymond J. Sullivan,
Jr.; and
WHEREAS, Representative
Sullivan has diligently served the constituency of House
District 29, which covers the towns of
November 2nd of 2004; and
WHEREAS, Serving as
Deputy Majority Leader, Vice Chair of the House Committee on
Rules, and a member of the House Committees on
Environment and Natural Resources,
Judiciary, Separation of Powers, and Oversight, and
the Joint Committee on Highway Safety,
Representative Sullivan has not only earned the
respect of his peers, but also the gratitude of his
constituents; and
WHEREAS, As a three-term member of the Rhode Island House of
Representatives,
Representative Sullivan exemplifies the best qualities
of those who have chosen to devote their
lives to the honorable profession of public service. He is
continuing his service to the people of
this state as the Deputy District Director for Public
Policy in the Office of Congressman James
Langevin; and
WHEREAS, Among
Representative Sullivan’s accomplishments, he takes great pride in
his efforts to support renewable energy projects and
protect an individual’s personal information
and records; and
WHEREAS,
Representative Sullivan’s efforts have been recognized by numerous
organizations, and include his being honored with the Charles
Fogarty Award; and
WHEREAS, As well as
being a Representative of the people in the state legislature, The
Honorable Raymond Sullivan is a member of the
Manchester Lodge # 12, F & A.M., and the
Rhode Island Young Democrats; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED,
That this House of Representatives of the State of
Providence Plantations
hereby honors and commends one of the legislature’s distinguished
members, Representative Raymond J. Sullivan, Jr. We furthermore
wish him good health,
happiness, and much success in all his future endeavors; and be
it further
RESOLVED,
That the Secretary of State be and he hereby is
authorized and directed to
transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to The
Honorable Raymond J. Sullivan, Jr.
