RECOGNIZING AND
COMMENDING ANDREW HEVEY UPON ACHIEVING
SCOUTING'S MOST
DISTINGUISHED HONOR, THE RANK OF EAGLE SCOUT

WHEREAS, Earning an
Eagle Scout Badge is the pinnacle of achievement within the
Boy Scouts of
the young men who enter scouting; and
WHEREAS, Andrew Hevey is a remarkable young man worthy of this prestigious
achievement and his accomplishments are truly deserving of our recognition;
and
WHEREAS, Learning important lifelong skills and values, Andrew Hevey of Troop 39 in
Aid, to name just a few; and
WHEREAS, As the highlight of his scouting years and to complete the
final step toward
obtaining the rank of Eagle Scout, Andrew planned, developed,
and carried out an extensive
Eagle Scout service project. He cleared and marked a sunrise trail at the Alton
Jones Camp,
volunteering 87 hours to complete this project. It is an
outstanding example of his involvement
and concern for the citizens of
WHEREAS, It is essential and fitting to recognize the triumphs of our
youth and to
celebrate the accomplishments of our future leaders. Andrew
exemplifies everything an Eagle
Scout should be and all that we hope our children will
grow to be; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED,
That this Senate of the State of
hereby honors Andrew Hevey for all
he has done to attain the rank of Eagle within the Boy
Scouts of
RESOLVED,
That this Senate extends our deepest appreciation to
Andrew Hevey for his
untiring service to the community and for setting a high
standard of commitment and dedication
by which youth of this great state may follow. We
proffer our very best wishes for good health
and happiness in the months and years ahead; and be it
further
RESOLVED,
That the Secretary of State be and he hereby is
authorized and directed to
transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to Andrew Hevey.
