J O I N T R E S O L U T I O N

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PAY CERTAIN CLAIMS

      RESOLVED, That there is hereby appropriated, out of any money in the treasury not

otherwise appropriated for the fiscal year 2009-2010 the sums stipulated to pay the claims of the

following:

     Representative David A. Caprio

     The sum of $2,315.99 to pay the claim of Margaret M. Olson of 102 Caswell Street,

Narragansett, Rhode Island, 02882 for damages to her vehicle when it was struck by a faulty rain

cover at or near The Department of Administration 1 Capitol Hill in the city of Providence on or

about February 12, 2009;

     Representative Douglas W. Gablinski

     The sum of $166.83 to pay the claim of Stephen M. McNicholas of 48 Oliver Street #2,

Bristol, Rhode Island, 02809 for damages to his vehicle when it struck a roadway defect at or

near State Street and Franklin Street in the Town of Bristol on or about February 22, 2009;

     Representative Brian C. Newberry

     The sum of $317.92 to pay the claim of Antonio Savini of 7 Branch Avenue, North

Smithfield, Rhode Island, 02896 for damages to his vehicle when it struck a roadway defect at or

near Route 146 A (Victory Highway) in the Town of North Smithfield on or about February 26,

2009;

     Representative Robert E. Flaherty

     The sum of $1,212.35 to pay the claim of Lynn M. Stanley of 35 Lake Street 5A,

Warwick, Rhode Island, 02886 for damages to her vehicle when it was struck by a loose manhole

cover at or near Richmond Street in the vicinity of Jakes Restaurant in the City of Providence on

or about February 5, 2009;

     Representative Edwin R. Pacheco

     The sum of $1,440.20 to pay the claim of Daniel P. Savoie of 1095 South Main Street,

Pascoag, Rhode Island, 02859 for damages to his vehicle when it struck a highway defect at or

near Pontiac Avenue and Capuano Avenue Southbound in the City of Cranston on or about

October 28, 2006;

     Representative Gordon D. Fox

     The sum of $531.12 to pay the claim of Michael Brennan of 141 Fourth Street Apartment

2, Providence, Rhode Island, 02906 for damages to his vehicle when it struck roadway debris on

Route 95 South at or near Exit 20 in the City of Providence on or about March 21, 2009; and the

state controller is hereby authorized and directed to draw his orders upon the general treasurer for

payment of said sums.
