A N A C T
RELATING TO SOLEMNIZATION OF
MARRIAGES

It is enacted by the General
Assembly as follows:
SECTION
1. Notwithstanding any other general or special law to the contrary, and
pursuant to and in accordance with
chapter 15-3 of the general laws, entitled “Solemnization of
Marriages” the following persons
are hereby authorized and empowered to join the following
persons in marriage:
Mark
Yabut, a former minister of Rhode Island Church of Christ, may join Joshua
Andersen and Karen Church in
marriage at a place within the town of Narragansett, Rhode Island
on or about May 22, 2004; and
Jeffrey
Drogin, M.D., may join Elizabeth Drogin and Jason E. Tundermann in marriage
at a place within the town of
Barrington, Rhode Island on or about August 7, 2004; and
The
Honorable John D. Harris, a judge on the Los Angeles County (California)
Superior
Court, may join Stephen Terrence
Skoutas and Jody Eden Lenke in marriage at a place within the
city of Newport, Rhode Island on
or about July 17, 2004; and
Judge
Harold Baer, Jr., United States District Court, Southern District of New York,
may
join Courtney Megan Cahill and Sam
Saha in marriage at a place within the city of Newport,
Rhode Island on or about May 28,
2004; and
Robert
J. Grant of Warwick, Rhode Island, may join Brooke McAuley and Thomas A.
Grant in marriage at a place
within the city of Newport, Rhode Island on or about September 5,
2004; and
Judge
Duane R. Merrill of the State of New York, may join Amanda M. Brown and
Michael D. Merrill at a place
within the State of Rhode Island on or about July 23, 2004; and
Alphonse
Witt may join Kelly Woodward and Joseph Mahoney in marriage at a place
within the city of Newport, Rhode
Island on or about August 21, 2004; and
The
Honorable Suzanne V. DelVecchio, Chief Justice of the Superior Court in
Massachusetts, may join Kerry Lyn
O’Connell and Michael James Masone in marriage at a place
within the city of Newport, Rhode
Island on or about August 6, 2004.
SECTION
2. This act shall take effect upon passage.
