H O U S E R E S O L U T I O N

RESPECTFULLY REQUESTING THAT THE U.S. CHEMICAL SAFETY AND HAZARD INVESTIGATION BOARD PREPARE A REPORT OF ITS FINDINGS REGARDING THE CHEMICAL EXPLOSION AT TECHNIC, INC. IN CRANSTON

     RESOLVED, That this house of representatives of the state of Rhode Island and

Providence Plantations hereby respectfully requests that the United States Chemical Safety and

Hazard Investigation Board prepare a report of its findings regarding the chemical explosion at

the Technic, Inc. plant in Cranston. This report should contain the board’s recommendations and

proposed policy changes in order to avoid future mishaps; and be it further

     RESOLVED, That the secretary of state be and he is hereby authorized and directed to

transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to the United States Chemical Safety and Hazard

Investigation Board.
