A N A C T

EXEMPTING FROM TAXATION THE REAL, MIXED AND PERSONAL PROPERTY OF WELCOME HOUSE OF SOUTH COUNTY

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:

     SECTION 1. Section 1 of “AN ACT EXEMPTING FROM TAXATION THE REAL,

MIXED AND PERSONAL PROPERTY OF WELCOME HOUSE OF SOUTH COUNTY” is

hereby amended as follows:

     Section 1. All the real, mixed, and personal property of the Welcome House of South

County, also known as Welcome House, also known as South County Emergency Shelter, Inc.,

located at 8 North Road, South Kingstown, incorporated on May 15, 1987 as a non-business

corporation, shall be exempt from state and local taxation so long as said property shall be used

for the purposes for which said corporation was incorporated. This exemption shall be limited to

the property located at 8 North Road in South Kingstown, Rhode Island.

     SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage.
