RESOLVED, That whereas both houses of the January 2001 Session of the General Assembly have been in recess since June 29, 2001; the January 2001 Session of the Rhode Island House of Representatives and Senate, lawfully reconvened on January 2, 2001, is hereby adjourned on January 1, 2002, and the Rhode Island House of Representatives and Senate shall convene on said January 1, 2002 for the January 2002 Session immediately upon such adjournment.

Said adjournment by the Rhode Island Senate and the Rhode Island House of Representatives is hereby accorded the consent of both the Rhode Island Senate and the Rhode Island House of Representatives in accordance with Section 9 of Article VI of the Rhode Island Constitution.
