EXPRESSING CONDOLENCES ON THE PASSING OF ALMA C. BOISSEAU | |

1 | WHEREAS, It is with deep sadness that this Senate has learned of the passing of Alma C. |
2 | Boisseau. She was the beloved wife of the late David J. Boisseau for 60 years; and |
3 | WHEREAS, Mrs. Boisseau was born in Woonsocket, the daughter of the late Arthur and |
4 | Aurore Cartier. Alma was devoted to her family and loved ones and worked tirelessly to provide |
5 | for them. She worked for several years at the Rosemont Mill and Nyman’s, and later worked for |
6 | 18 years at A.T. Cross, before retiring in 1986; and |
7 | WHEREAS, In retirement, Alma enjoyed volunteering at the Landmark Medical Center, |
8 | the Woonsocket Senior Center and St. Joseph’s Food Cupboard. Alma also enjoyed knitting, |
9 | crocheting and quilting; and |
10 | WHEREAS, Mrs. Alma C. Boisseau leaves behind her daughters, Denise Bourget and |
11 | her husband, Paul, and Pauline LaLonde and her husband, Roger. She also leaves behind her son- |
12 | in-law Lucien Blanchard, ten grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and many great-great |
13 | grandchildren. Alma Boisseau was predeceased by her daughter, Lorraine Blanchard, and her |
14 | siblings Ovila “Pete” Cartier and Violette Remillard; now, therefore be it |
15 | RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island hereby expresses its deepest |
16 | condolences on the passing of Alma C. Boisseau; and be it further |

1 | RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to |
2 | transmit duly certified copies of this resolution to Denise Bourget and Pauline LaLonde. |
