RELATING TO HEALTH AND SAFETY -- VITAL RECORDS | |

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows: | |
1 | SECTION 1. Chapter 23-3 of the General Laws entitled "Vital Records" is hereby amended |
2 | by adding thereto the following section: |
3 | 23-3-10.3. Certificate of birth -- Modification. |
4 | The race of a person appearing on a certificate of birth may be modified by the state |
5 | registrar of vital records if it is determined by the director that a modification is justified. |
6 | SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage. |
