EXPRESSING CONDOLENCES ON THE PASSING OF EDMÉE PARISI | |

1 | WHEREAS, It is with deep sadness that this Senate has learned of the passing of Edmée |
2 | Parisi, of Johnston. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Anthony Parisi, son, Thomas |
3 | Parisi and sister, Lorraine Champagne; and |
4 | WHEREAS, Edmée Parisi was raised in the Bronx, New York, the daughter of the late |
5 | Leonce and Marie Champagne. Mrs. Parisi attended Visitation School, St. Barnabus High School, |
6 | and graduated from Hunter College. She married her husband, Anthony, in 1954, and they lived |
7 | in Newport News, Virginia, Mount Vernon, New York, and White Plains, New York, before |
8 | settling in Simsbury, Connecticut, where she provided a warm, nurturing and loving home as she |
9 | and her husband raised their six children; and |
10 | WHEREAS, Tragically, Mrs. Parisi’s husband, Anthony, died in 1968. After his death, |
11 | Mrs. Parisi and her children moved to New Rochelle, New York, where she worked tirelessly on |
12 | a daily basis to provide for her family as a travel agent, secretary for Holy Family Catholic |
13 | Church, and as a clerk for the New Rochelle Police Department, until her retirement in 2010; and |
14 | WHEREAS, In her free time, Mrs. Parisi enjoyed listening to classical music, gardening, |
15 | reading, visiting museums, and spending time with her beloved cat. The most important activity |
16 | in her life was spending time with her family. Mrs. Parisi was also a woman of deep faith and |
17 | attended Holy Family Catholic Church; and |
18 | WHEREAS, Edmée Parisi leaves behind her children, Michael Parisi, and his wife, |
19 | Kimberly Gallagher, Julia Parisi, and her husband, Kenneth Highland, Clelia Parisi, James Parisi, |
20 | and his wife, Rosemarie, and Camille Fieseher and her husband, Stephen. Edmée Parisi is also |

1 | survived by Thomas’s widow, Teresa Parisi. Edmée Parisi also leaves behind her grandchildren, |
2 | Anthony Parisi, and his wife, Tracey, Christina Teear, and her husband, Jack, Danielle |
3 | Goldsmith, and her husband, Ian, Stephanie Fieseher, Michael Fieseher, Joshua Fieseher, and |
4 | Talia Parisi. Edmée Parisi is also survived by her 14 nieces and nephews; now, therefore be it |
5 | RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode hereby expresses its deepest |
6 | condolences to the Parisi Family on the passing of Edmée Parisi; and be it further |
7 | RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to |
8 | transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to the Parisi Family. |
