WHEREAS, Christopher R. Blazejewski was chosen as Salutatorian of the Class of 1998 and it is no surprise, as he has attained near perfect SAT scores and grade point average; and
WHEREAS, Among Christopher's myriad accomplishments are: the editor of the school yearbook and literary journal, captain of the debate team, president of the National honor Society, and a member of the math team and the model legislature; and
WHEREAS, Christopher is also a Brown University Scholar, has received the Harvard University Prize Book Award and was the winner of the Rhode Island Forensic League State Championship; and
WHEREAS, Christopher has also worked as a peer tutor, a concession supervisor, a newspaper carrier, and an ambulatory surgery assistant; and plans on attending Harvard University in the fall, majoring in either chemistry or English; now therefore be it
RESOLVED, That this House of Representatives of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations hereby congratulates Christopher R. Blazejewski on being selected as Salutatorian of the Cumberland High School Class of 1998 and wishes him the best of luck in his future endeavors; and be it further
RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and he is hereby authorized and directed to transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to Christopher R. Blazejewski.
