EXTENDING SINCERE CONDOLENCES UPON THE TRAGIC DEATH OF ALEXIS M. JOHNSON

WHEREAS, "Death always comes too early or too late." Death came all too tragically early to Alexis Johnson of North Kingstown when she was fatally injured in a car accident last Monday. There are no words to adequately express the sorrow shared by all Rhode Islanders over the heartbreaking loss of this innocent child who lived amongst us for only 18 months; and

WHEREAS, To the parents of young Alexis, we can only offer our prayers and hopes that they will find some measure of consolation in the love they have for each other, and in the love and compassion of family and friends. "One short sleep past, we wake eternally,/And Death shall be no more."; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this House of Representatives of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations hereby offers its deepest sympathies to Christopher and Jennifer Johnson on the passing of their daughter, Alexis M. Johnson; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and he hereby is authorized and directed to transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to Christopher and Jennifer Johnson.
