EXPRESSING DEEPEST CONDOLENCES ON THE PASSING OF FRANK J. ALMONTE | |

1 | WHEREAS, It is with deep sadness that this House has learned of the passing of Frank J. |
2 | Almonte, from Cranston who was the beloved husband of Jaqueline A. Almonte, for thirty-seven |
3 | wonderful years, and the devoted father of Frank J. Almonte II, and his partner, Loriann and our |
4 | friend and colleague, Nicholas J. Almonte and his wife, Samantha; and |
5 | WHEREAS, Frank J. Almonte was a dedicated and talented self-employed contractor and |
6 | the proud owner of Almonte Designs, where his perfectionist spirit, creative vision, and |
7 | extraordinary craftsmanship in wood-working distinguished him throughout a remarkable career; |
8 | and |
9 | WHEREAS, Through his ingenuity and passion for unique design, Frank pushed the |
10 | boundaries of his craft, earning the admiration and respect of clients and all who had the privilege |
11 | of witnessing his artistry; and |
12 | WHEREAS, Above all else, Frank’s greatest pride and devotion were reserved for his |
13 | family. His love was exemplified in the beautiful home he single-handedly built, creating a |
14 | foundation not only of wood and stone, but of warmth, security, and cherished memories. Frank |
15 | and Jacqueline together nurtured this happy home filled with outpouring love and unwavering |
16 | support for their sons; and |
17 | WHEREAS, Frank is also survived by his cherished mother, Ruth Almonte; his sisters, |
18 | Sandra Langlois, and Karen Bellows and her husband, Gary; his brother, James Almonte and his |
19 | wife, Christina; as well as many nieces and nephews who will all forever treasure his guidance, |
20 | humor, and generous heart. Frank was predeceased by his father, Ralph Almonte, whose memory |

1 | and influence remained a guiding presence throughout his life; and |
2 | WHEREAS, Known for his boundless energy and adventurous spirit, Frank embraced |
3 | life fully—whether racing down ski slopes, competing on the tennis courts, or inventing his own |
4 | spirited games—ensuring there was never a dull moment in his presence; and |
5 | WHEREAS, Frank J. Almonte will be remembered as the life of every gathering, a man |
6 | of extraordinary generosity who would give the shirt off his back, and a welcoming soul who |
7 | embraced others as family and filled their lives with laughter and joy. He was one of a kind and |
8 | will be sorely missed by all of those who had the pleasure of knowing him; now, therefore be it |
9 | RESOLVED, That this House of Representatives of the State of Rhode Island hereby |
10 | expresses its deepest condolences to the family and friends of Frank J. Almonte during this time |
11 | of profound loss; and be it further |
12 | RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to |
13 | transmit duly certified copies of this resolution to Jacqueline A. Almonte, Frank J. Almonte II and |
14 | Family and Nicholas J. Almonte and Family. |
