PREVENTION ACT OF 2016 | |

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows: | |
1 | SECTION 1. Chapter 21-28.9 of the General Laws entitled "The Good Samaritan Overdose |
2 | Prevention Act of 2016" is hereby amended by adding thereto the following section: |
3 | 21-28.9-6. Training to administer opioid antagonists. |
4 | All lifeguards, and park and forest rangers, employed to work in any state or municipal |
5 | public beach or facility shall be trained in the administration of opioid antagonists, pursuant to the |
6 | provisions of this chapter. All state or municipal public beaches and facilities, that employ |
7 | lifeguards, and park and forest rangers, shall maintain and provide a minimum of four (4) doses of |
8 | the opioid antagonist. |
9 | SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage. |

3 | state and municipal public beaches or facilities, that employ lifeguards, and park and forest rangers |
4 | to keep available a minimum of four doses of opioid antagonist. |
5 | This act would take effect upon passage. |
