S E N A T E   R E S O L U T I O N

EXTENDING DEEPEST SYMPATHY ON THE PASSING OF JASON ALAN GOLDITCH

     WHEREAS, It is with deepest sorrow that this Senate has learned of the sad passing of

2

our friend and colleague, Jason Alan Golditch, the Senior Director and Producer at Capitol

3

Television, and an integral part of its operations for the past thirty-six years; and

4

     WHEREAS, Jason lived in the City of Cranston with his beloved wife of eighteen years,

5

Lynda, and was the very proud dad of three sons, Jeffrey, Ethan, and Ryan. He was a son of

6

Marian and the late William Golditch, and the brother of Neil Golditch and his wife, Liz, and

7

Gary Golditch and his wife, Manuela; and

8

     WHEREAS, A talented and creative man, Jason was a graduate of Hope High School in

9

Providence, and earned his Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications from Rhode Island

10

College; and

11

     WHEREAS, In 1988, Jason started what would become a thirty-six-year journey at the

12

Rhode Island General Assembly in the Office of Capitol Television, ultimately becoming the

13

department’s Senior Producer and Director; and

14

     WHEREAS, No stranger to multi-tasking, in February of 2017, Jason began working as a

15

Multi-media Journalist and Senior Production Coordinator at Brown University. In addition, he

16

held a TV Production Staff Position at Cox Communications for a number of years, was an in-

17

demand Field Producer and Freelance Videographer, and created a promotional video for the

18

Rhode Island Academic Decathlon and volunteered at the Ronald McDonald House, to name but

19

a few of his many undertakings; and

20

     WHEREAS, Devoted to his Jewish faith, Jason was a member of Temple Beth-El in

Providence, and its Brotherhood, and had served in many capacities including as an active

2

member and past treasurer with the Friendship Lodge of the Touro Fraternal Association; and

3

     WHEREAS, Jason was a gentle soul, blessed with a family who loved him. He was a

4

quiet but kind man who always had a friendly good morning or hello for those with whom he

5

worked and spent many hours of his day, and he is dearly missed; now, therefore be it

6

     RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island hereby extends heartfelt

7

condolences to the bereaved family and friends on the sad passing of Jason Alan Golditch. May

8

his memory be a blessing; and be it further

9

     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to

10

transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to Mrs. Lynda Golditch and Family.
