MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PAY CERTAIN CLAIMS

     RESOLVED, That there is hereby appropriated out of any money in the treasury not

2

otherwise appropriated for the fiscal year 2023-2024 the sums stipulated to pay the claims of the

3

following:

      Senator Roger A. Picard

5

     The sum of $433.09 to pay the claim of Allison K. Kane of 76 Countryside Drive,

6

Cumberland, RI 02864 for damages to her vehicle when it struck a roadway defect while

7

travelling on Route 99 near exit 1 in the Town of Cumberland on or about May 6, 2024;

8

      Senator Ryan W. Pearson

9

     The sum of $1,538.70 to pay the claim of Carolyn Enestvedt of 27 Green Meadow Lane,

10

Cumberland, RI 02864 for damages to her vehicle when she struck a roadway defect while

11

traveling on Route 114 in the Town of Cumberland on or about January 1, 2024;

12

      Senator Pamela J. Lauria

13

     The sum of $404.58 to pay the claim of Thomas W. Estrella of 10 Kyle Street,

14

Barrington, RI 02806 for damages to his vehicle when he struck roadway debris while traveling

15

on Route 6 in the City of Cranston on or about January 9, 2024;

16

      Senator Samuel W. Bell

17

     The sum of $316.00 to pay the claim of Frank Tortolani of 455 Academy Avenue,

18

Providence, RI 02908 for damages to his vehicle when he struck a roadway defect while traveling

19

on Route 2, in the City of Cranston on or about June 13, 2023;

      Senator Jessica de la Cruz

     The sum of $2,256.19 to pay the claim of Stephen Hoyle of 461 Buxton Street, North

2

Smithfield, RI 02896 for damages to his property at 526 Bernon Street in the City of Woonsocket

3

when the Rhode Island State Police were executing a "no-knock" search warrant, inadvertently

4

damaging two doors; and the state controller is hereby authorized and directed to draw his orders

5

upon the General Treasurer for the payment of said funds.
