	RELATING TO THE NORTH PROVIDENCE CHARTER -- THE SALVATORE MANCINI
	CENTER ON AGING

	It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:
1	SECTION 1. Article 12, chapter 6 of chapter 237 of the 1973 Public Laws entitled "An Act
2	to Incorporate the Town of North Providence, as amended" is hereby further amended to read as
3	follows:

5	OTHER OFFICES AND DEPARTMENTS
6	CHAPTER 6 SALVATORE MANCINI CENTER ON AGING
7	12-6-1. Inclusion of Employees in town Health Coverage Department of the Salvatore
8	Mancini Center on Aging.
9	The full time employees of the Salvatore Mancini Center on Aging shall be considered
10	employees of the Town of North Providence for the sole purpose of taking part in the town's health
11	insurance plan. (00-S 3028 § l, July 18, 2000) There is hereby established within the Town of North
12	Providence government a department to be known as the "Salvatore Mancini Center on Aging."
13	12-6-2. Organization and Function.
14	There shall be a director of the Salvatore Mancini Center on Aging, who shall be the head
15	of the department. The director shall be responsible for the effective management and oversight of
16	the Salvatore Mancini Center on Aging, as well as of its employees and any volunteers.

1	SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage.
