It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows: | |
1 | SECTION 1. Sections 22-7.4-105 and 22-7.4-111 of the General Laws in Chapter 22-7.4 |
2 | entitled "Permanent Joint Committee on Naming All New Buildings, Bridges, Edifices and Other |
3 | State Constructions" are hereby amended to read as follows: |
4 | 22-7.4-105. The Roosevelt Benton Youth Assessment Center. Roosevelt Benton |
5 | Center. |
6 | The building formerly known as the Juvenile Detention Center, and later known and named |
7 | the "Roosevelt Benton Youth Assessment Center" located in on the Pastore Complex on Cherrydale |
8 | Court in Cranston, Rhode Island, shall hereafter be named and known as the “Roosevelt Benton |
9 | Youth Assessment Center.” |
10 | 22-7.4-111. The Thomas C. Slater Training School. |
11 | The facility known as the Rhode Island Training School in the city of Cranston, consisting |
12 | of the Roosevelt Benton Youth Assessment Center, a youth development center, and a female unit, |
13 | shall hereafter be named and known as “The Thomas C. Slater Training School” in honor of Rhode |
14 | Island State Representative Thomas C. Slater in recognition of his many and varied contributions |
15 | to the facility and the State of Rhode Island. |
