RELATING TO LABOR AND LABOR RELATIONS -- OCCUPATIONAL LICENSING | |

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows: | |
1 | SECTION 1. Title 28 of the General Laws entitled "LABOR AND LABOR RELATIONS" |
2 | is hereby amended by adding thereto the following chapter: |
3 | CHAPTER 60 |
4 | OCCUPATIONAL LICENSING REFORM ACT |
5 | 28-60-1. Occupational licensing reform – Reciprocity. |
6 | Any and all state licensing authorities shall be authorized to issue licenses to any individual |
7 | moving into this state with a minimum of three (3) years of licensed practice, in good standing in |
8 | any other state jurisdiction, as long as the individual's former home state of licensed practice |
9 | requires a substantially equivalent education, experience and training as the state's licensure |
10 | requirements. |
11 | SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage. |

1 | This act would authorize any and all state licensing authorities to issue licenses to |
2 | individuals moving into this state with a minimum of three (3) years of practice, in good standing |
3 | in any other state jurisdiction, as long as the individual's former home state requires a substantially |
4 | equivalent education, experience and training as the respective state licensure requirements. |
5 | This act would take effect upon passage. |
