S E N A T E   R E S O L U T I O N

EXPRESSING CONDOLENCES ON THE PASSING OF RALPH W. EZOVSKI

     WHEREAS, It is with deep sadness that this Senate has learned of the passing of Ralph

2

W. Ezovski, the beloved husband of Deborah Ezovski for forty-five years; and

3

     WHEREAS, Ralph Ezovski was born in Pawtucket, a son of the late Stephen and Ruby

4

Ezovski, and had made his home in Barrington for forty-four years; and

5

     WHEREAS, Ralph Ezovski served our nation with honor and distinction in the United

6

States Army during the Vietnam War era. He was also a member of the American Legion Post

7

#10; and

8

     WHEREAS, Ralph Ezovski was a graduate of Roger Williams University and the New

9

England School of Law. He served as a member of the East Providence Police department for

10

twenty-one years, retiring with the rank of Lieutenant, and was a well-regarded police officer who

11

worked tirelessly to protect the lives and property of all East Providence residents. He was also a

12

member of the East Providence Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #1; and

13

     WHEREAS, Ralph Ezovski also served the State of Rhode Island with distinction as the

14

Rhode Island State Director of NAGE-IBPO for twenty-six years; and

15

     WHEREAS, In addition to his wife, Mr. Ezovski leaves behind his children, Sara

16

Broomhead and her husband, Adam, and Justin Ezovski. He also leaves behind three

17

grandchildren, Max Ezovski, Charley Broomhead and Lucy Broomhead, and a brother, Michael

18

Ezovski. He was the brother of the late Sandra Radcliff, Joy Malloy, Brian Ezovski and Cheryl

19

Andrews; and

20

     WHEREAS, Ralph Ezovski was a shining light whose beacon burned brightly within the

lives of his loved ones and many friends. He will be long remembered by all who knew and loved

2

him; now, therefore be it

3

     RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island hereby expresses its

4

condolences on the passing of Ralph W. Ezovski; and be it further

5

     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to

6

transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to Mrs. Deborah Ezovski and Family.
