S E N A T E   R E S O L U T I O N

EXTENDING DEEPEST SYMPATHY ON THE PASSING OF MADELINE MONTANARO

     WHEREAS, It is with sadness that this Senate has learned of the passing of Madeline

2

Montanaro, the devoted wife of the late Frank Montanaro, and the cherished mother of Laurie

3

Montanaro, our friend and former colleague, the Honorable Frank Montanaro and his wife, Joy,

4

Gina Montanaro and her husband, Michael Eckman, and Diana Montanaro; and

5

     WHEREAS, Born in the City of Providence, Mrs. Montanaro, better known as “Maddie”

6

to her family and friends, was a beloved daughter of the late Vincent and Anna Conca, and the

7

sister of Claudia Crudele, Lorraine Massiello, and Crescenzo Conca; and

8

     WHEREAS, Mrs. Montanaro doted on her family, particularly her six grandchildren,

9

Alexandria Montanaro, Michael Montanaro, Frank Montanaro, Jake Montanaro, Kelsey Lawton,

10

and Karissa Montanaro and her spouse, Elizabeth Montanaro, and her three great-grandchildren,

11

Maya, Lena, and Luke Montanaro, who were the light of her life; and

12

     WHEREAS, With a loving personality, Mrs. Montanaro created and nurtured a marriage

13

that flourished and a home that was warm and welcoming. She adored traveling the world with

14

her beloved husband, and sharing a glass of wine or her amazing cooking with her family and

15

many friends; and

16

     WHEREAS, In addition to raising her family, Mrs. Montanaro had been an executive

17

secretary for the RI State Association of Firefighters for a number of years; and

18

     WHEREAS, Mrs. Montanaro was a devoted wife, a loving mother, a cherished

19

grandmother and great-grandmother who was always laughing, always generous, always loving,

20

and always there to share a smile and a hug, and she is dearly missed but will forever be

remembered; now, therefore be it

2

     RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island hereby expresses deepest

3

condolences on the passing of Madeline Montanaro; and be it further

4

     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to

5

transmit duly certified copies of this resolution to Laurie Montanaro, Frank Montanaro, Gina

6

Montanaro, and Diana Montanaro.
