S E N A T E   R E S O L U T I O N

EXPRESSING CONDOLENCES ON THE PASSING OF DIANE M. COLERICK

     WHEREAS, It is with deep sadness that this Senate has learned of the passing of Diane

M. Colerick. She was born in Woonsocket, a daughter of Lucille Soucy and the late Rodrigue

Soucy; and

     WHEREAS, Diane Colerick was a hard-working woman who strove daily to provide for

her family and loved ones. She worked for many years at the Soucy Insurance Agency in

Woonsocket as well as at Seven Hills in Woonsocket, where she was a hard-working and valued

employee; and

     WHEREAS, In addition to her mother, Lucille Soucy, Diane Colerick leaves behind her

daughter, Meaghan Colerick, her partner Ron McTague, and her siblings David Soucy, Michelle

Gauvin, Francoise Cecconi, and Danielle Peloquin. She also leaves behind many nieces and

nephews; and

     WHEREAS, Diane Colerick had a great love of animals and cared for many feral cats

throughout her life. First and foremost in her life was her family and loved ones, and the love she

gave all of them will be forever remembered in their hearts and minds; now, therefore be it

     RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island hereby expresses its

condolences on the passing of Diane M. Colerick; and be it further

     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to

transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to Lucille Soucy and Family.
