S E N A T E   R E S O L U T I O N

EXTENDING DEEPEST CONDOLENCES ON THE PASSING OF HECTOR J. BEAUPRE,

JR.

     WHEREAS, It is with sadness that this Senate has learned of the passing of Hector J.

2

Beaupre, Jr., the beloved husband of Lorna Beaupre for fifty-three wonderful years, and the father

3

of Karen Beaupre and her spouse, Lori Harbough, and Ronald Beaupre and his spouse, Patricia;

4

and

5

     WHEREAS, Born in Attleboro, Massachusetts, Hector Beaupre was the son of the late

6

Irene and Hector Beaupre, Sr., and the brother of Connie Perry and her spouse, Gerald. He was

7

also the doting uncle of many nieces and nephews and seven grand-dogs; and

8

     WHEREAS, Mr. Beaupre served our country with honor in the United States Army

9

during the Vietnam War. Until his retirement, he had been employed as a manager with Major

10

Electric in Pawtucket for forty years; and

11

     WHEREAS, In his leisure time, Mr. Beaupre was an avid motorcycle enthusiast and

12

longtime member of the GWRRA Motorcycle Club. He enjoyed and participated in myriad bike

13

runs for charity with one of his particular favorites being the annual American Brain Tumor Bike

14

Run; and

15

     WHEREAS, In addition to his cherished family, work and motorcycles, Mr. Beaupre

16

enjoyed camping, ice hockey, was a fan of the Providence Bruins, and had served for many years

17

as an “Off Ice” official; and

18

     WHEREAS, Hector Beaupre was a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, and granddad

19

to his seven grand-pups and he is lovingly remembered and dearly missed; now, therefore be it

     RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island hereby extends deepest

2

condolences on the passing of Hector J. Beaupre, Jr.; and be it further

3

     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to

4

transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to Lorna Beaupre and Family.
