EXPRESSING CONDOLENCES ON THE PASSING OF PAUL J. GRIFFITH | |

1 | WHEREAS, It is with sadness that this Senate has learned of the passing of Paul J. |
2 | Griffith, the father of Jennifer Griffith and Brian Griffith, the father-in-law of Dina Passman, and |
3 | the grandfather of Lena and Rachel Griffith; and |
4 | WHEREAS, Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Mr. Griffith was the son of the late |
5 | Francis and Helen Griffith, and the brother of the late Lawrence Griffith, Kathleen Koerner, and |
6 | Francis Griffith, Jr.; and |
7 | WHEREAS, Upon graduating from Brooklyn Prep in 1962, Mr. Griffith attended Le |
8 | Moyne College in Syracuse, graduating in 1966, and later earned his Master's degree from Salve |
9 | Regina University in 1977; and |
10 | WHEREAS, After relocating to Rhode Island, Mr. Griffith became a public school |
11 | teacher, and for nearly 30 years, taught at Warren High School and Burrillville High School |
12 | before his retirement; and |
13 | WHEREAS, Paul Griffith was a father, grandfather, a hard-working man and a friend to |
14 | many, and he will be dearly missed; now, therefore be it |
15 | RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island hereby expresses deepest |
16 | sympathies on the passing of Paul J. Griffith; and be it further |
17 | RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to |
