MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PAY CERTAIN CLAIMS

     RESOLVED, That there is hereby appropriated out of any money in the treasury not

otherwise appropriated for the fiscal year 2023-2024 the sums stipulated to pay the claims of the

following:

      Representative William O'Brien

     The sum of $2,759.65 to pay the claim of Luis Horta of 11 Lawrence Road, North

Providence, RI 02911 for damages to his vehicle when it struck roadway debris while traveling

on Route 44, in the City of East Providence on or about October 16, 2023;

      Representative Lauren Carson

     The sum of $283.50 to pay the claim of Patricia Emsellem of 23 West Street, Newport,

RI 02840 for damages to her vehicle when she struck a roadway defect while travelling on Route

138 in the City of Newport on or about April 4. 2024;

      Representative Barbara Ann Fenton-Fung

     The sum of $1,000.00 to pay the claim of David H. Pilloni of 18 Macintosh Drive,

Cranston, RI 02921 for damages to his vehicle when it was struck by roadway debris while

traveling on Route 37 in the area of Pontiac Avenue in the City of Cranston on or about October

13, 2023;

      Representative Gregory J. Costantino

     The sum of $1,171.50 to pay the claim of Ronald Falcone of 10 West Butterfly Way,

Lincoln, RI 02865 for damages to his vehicle when he struck a roadway defect while traveling on

Route 295 North in the City of Warwick on or about May 1, 2023; and the state controller is

hereby authorized and directed to draw his orders upon the General Treasurer for the payment of

said funds.
