RELATING TO HEALTH AND SAFETY -- COMPREHENSIVE FIRE SAFETY ACT | |

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows: | |
1 | SECTION 1. Chapter 23-28.01 of the General Laws entitled "Comprehensive Fire Safety |
2 | Act" is hereby amended by adding thereto the following section: |
3 | 23-28.01-7. Forest plan for fire mitigation. |
4 | An entity that owns five hundred (500) acres or more of land within the state shall have a |
5 | forest plan with a fire mitigation component. The entity shall submit the plan to the local fire |
6 | department and the department of environmental management for approval. |
7 | SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage. |
