RELATING TO HEALTH AND SAFETY -- REFUSE DISPOSAL | |

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows: | |
1 | SECTION 1. Chapter 23-18.9 of the General Laws entitled "Refuse Disposal" is hereby |
2 | amended by adding thereto the following section: |
3 | 23-18.9-19. Refuse disposal hours of operation. |
4 | (a) All persons engaged in the business of collection or hauling of refuse shall not empty |
5 | large trash receptacles, commonly known as “dumpsters”, within one hundred feet (100') of a |
6 | dwelling unit, as defined § 45-24-31, between the hours of ten o'clock (10:00) pm and eight o'clock |
7 | (8:00) am. |
8 | (b) Subsection (a) of this section shall apply to any person engaged in the business of |
9 | collection or hauling of refuse operating in a non-residential area. |
10 | SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage. |
