EXPRESSING DEEPEST CONDOLENCES ON THE PASSING OF JACQUELINE L. | |

1 | WHEREAS, It is with heartfelt sadness that this Senate has learned of the passing of |
2 | Jacqueline L. Martineau, the cherished sister of seven brothers and sisters, Paul Martineau, Jr. and |
3 | his wife, Roseanne, Suzanne Martineau, J. Pierre Martineau and his wife, Estelle, Rose Marie |
4 | Beauchemin, J. Michel Martineau and his wife, Michelle, our friend and former colleague, Gerard |
5 | Martineau, and Louise Marcus; and |
6 | WHEREAS, A lifelong resident of Woonsocket, 'Jackie' as she was fondly known by |
7 | family and friends, was the beloved daughter of the late Paul and Rachel Martineau, Sr.; and |
8 | WHEREAS, Jackie attended Mount Saint Charles Academy and upon graduation from |
9 | Woonsocket High School, earned her Bachelor's degree in Education from the University Rhode |
10 | Island; and |
11 | WHEREAS, Jackie had a sweet nature and kind heart that she generously bestowed on |
12 | her nieces and nephews who affectionately called her ‘Auntie JJ’; and |
13 | WHEREAS, Always willing to lend a hand, Jackie was actively involved with various |
14 | community organizations including the Woonsocket Jaycee’s and Autumnfest, and was a constant |
15 | source of comfort and support to her family and friends; and |
16 | WHEREAS, Blessed with a large and loving family, Jackie was a "beautiful soul and |
17 | spirit" whose friendliness and beautiful smile will long be remembered and forever missed; now, |
18 | therefore be it |
19 | RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island hereby extends deepest |

1 | condolences to the entire Martineau family of the passing of their dear sister and auntie, |
2 | Jacqueline L. Martineau; and be it further |
3 | RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to |
4 | transmit duly certified copies of this resolution to Paul Martineau, Jr., Suzanne Martineau, J. |
5 | Pierre Martineau, Rose Marie Beauchemin, J. Michel Martineau, Gerard Martineau, and Louise |
