J O I N T   R E S O L U T I O N

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION OF FIVE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS ($500,000)

FOR THE BENEFIT OF RHODE ISLAND FREE CLINIC

     RESOLVED, That a majority of all members elected to the house of representatives and

the senate of the general assembly voting therefor, the following amendment to the budget be

proposed:

     That there is hereby appropriated, out of any money in the treasury not otherwise

appropriated for the fiscal year 2021-2022, the sum of five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000)

to Rhode Island Free Clinic for the benefit of Rhode Island Free Clinic, located in Providence,

Rhode Island, for use in its continued efforts at providing free, comprehensive medical care and

preventive health services to adults who have no health insurance, and for any other use

determined by its governing body, and the state controller is hereby authorized and directed to

draw his or her orders upon the general treasurer for the payment of said sum, or so much thereof

as may be from time to time required, upon receipt of properly authenticated vouchers.
