H O U S E   R E S O L U T I O N

EXPRESSING CONDOLENCES ON THE PASSING OF JORGE BOROR

     Introduced By: Representatives Giraldo, Vella-Wilkinson, and Filippi

     WHEREAS, Mr. Jorge Boror passed away on January 29, 2021. He was born in

Guatemala City, Guatemala, a son of the late Fidel Boror and Angela Mazul. He had made his

home in Rhode Island since 1989, after living in Los Angeles for nine years; and

     WHEREAS, Mr. Boror was a hard-working man who had been employed for more than

twenty-five years as a floor finisher for the former Vajentic Flooring in Dedham, Massachusetts.

Mr. Boror was a well-liked, sociable person who loved music and karaoke, and was also a big fan

of the Barcelona soccer club, an excellent billiards player, and an avid salt water fisherman; and

     WHEREAS, Mr. Boror leaves behind his sons, Jorge L. Boror and Jorge E. Boror, and

his daughters, Paula Ortega and Samantha Boror. He is also survived by his three grandchildren

and his former wife, Delia Aguilar; now, therefore be it

     RESOLVED, That this House of Representatives of the State of Rhode Island hereby

expresses its condolences to the Boror Family on the passing of Jorge Boror; and be it further

     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to

transmit duly certified copies of this resolution to Jorge L. Boror, Jorge E. Boror, Paula Ortega

and Samantha Boror.
