EXPRESSING SINCERE CONDOLENCES ON THE PASSING OF SOLEDAD J. BLANCO | |

1 | WHEREAS, It is with deep sadness that this House has learned of the passing of Soledad |
2 | J. Blanco, the beloved wife of Jovencio Blanco for fifty-five years, and the devoted mother of |
3 | Joel Blanco and his wife, Eva, Owen Blanco and Amy, Maria Blanco-Colon and her husband, |
4 | Luis, Joven Blanco and his wife, Susan, and Florand Blanco and his fiancée, Kaua; and |
5 | WHEREAS, Mrs. Blanco was born in Pantabangan, Philippines, a daughter of the late |
6 | Florentino and Maria Jardines, and the sister of George Jardines, Manuel Jardinez, and the late |
7 | Florentino Jardinez, Jr., Alice Miller, and Edwin Jardines. She had been a resident of the Town of |
8 | West Warwick; and |
9 | WHEREAS, With a warm personality, Mrs. Blanco created and nurtured a marriage that |
10 | flourished, and a home that was warm and welcoming. She doted on her family, particularly her |
11 | eleven “favorite” grandchildren, who were the light of her life; and |
12 | WHEREAS, In addition to making a wonderful home for her family, Mrs. Blanco had |
13 | been employed at Toray Plastics in North Kingston until her retirement. She had previously been |
14 | an elementary school teacher in the Philippines. In her spare time, she also enjoyed traveling and |
15 | trips to the casinos; and |
16 | WHEREAS, There is no doubt that Soledad Blanco, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, |
17 | and friend to many, left an indelible mark on the lives of those she knew and loved, and she will |
18 | be dearly missed; now, therefore be it |
19 | RESOLVED, That this House of Representatives of the State of Rhode Island hereby |
20 | expresses our deepest sympathies on the passing of Soledad J. Blanco; and be it further |

1 | RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to |
2 | transmit duly certified copies of this resolution to Joel Blanco and Family, Owen Blanco and |
3 | Family, Maria Blanco-Colon and Family, Joven Blanco and Family, and Florand Blanco and |
