EXPRESSING CONDOLENCES ON THE PASSING OF MR. JOHN D’AMATO | |

1 | WHEREAS, Mr. John D'Amato of Westerly, the devoted husband of Ellen D'Amato, |
2 | passed away on February 1, 2021; and |
3 | WHEREAS, Mr. John D'Amato was born in Brooklyn, New York, the son of the late Dr. |
4 | Louis and Anna D'Amato. He was a graduate of the State University of New York and was a |
5 | veteran who served our nation with distinction in the United States Army; and |
6 | WHEREAS, Mr. D'Amato was the co-owner with his brother Louis of the D'Amato |
7 | Brothers Builders business, where he provided honest and high-quality products for his customers |
8 | and worked tirelessly to provide for his family and loved ones. In his free time, he enjoyed |
9 | travelling, especially to Italy. He was a communicant of St. Clare Church; and |
10 | WHEREAS, Besides Ellen, his wife of sixty years, Mr. D'Amato leaves behind his |
11 | children, Elizabeth D'Amato, John D'Amato and his wife, Laurie, Suzanne Johns, and Cheryl |
12 | D'Amato. He also leaves behind his grandsons, John, Nicholas, Daniel, Thomas and Craig, his |
13 | brother Louis D'Amato and his wife, Theresa, and his nephews, Louis and James; now, therefore |
14 | be it |
15 | RESOLVED, That this House of Representatives of the State of Rhode Island hereby |
16 | expresses its condolences to the D'Amato family on the passing of Mr. John D'Amato; and be it |
