AMENDING THE RULES OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES FOR THE YEARS

2019 AND 2020

     RESOLVED, That the Rules for the House of Representatives adopted by the House of

Representatives at its January session 2019 A.D., entitled "House Resolution Adopting the Rules

3

of the House of Representatives for the Years 2019 and 2020," be and the same are hereby

4

amended by adding thereto the following section:

5

     (47) During the pendency of any public health emergency, the Speaker shall, in his or her

6

discretion, require that members comply with any public health safety measure recommended by

7

the Rhode Island Department of Health while in attendance at any session or committee of the

8

House.

BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL

H O U S E   R E S O L U T I O N

AMENDING THE RULES OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES FOR THE YEARS

2019 AND 2020

     This resolution would amend the House Rules for the Years 2019 and 2020 by providing

that during the pendency of any public health emergency, the Speaker would, in his or her

discretion, require that members comply with any public health safety measure recommended by

House.
